Rianna’s Sleeping Update

When Rianna was still a baby I heard from friends that you can only have your whole night sleep when your baby turns two years old. I guess they were right. Rianna’s sleeping has improved a lot lately. I cannot even believe it. She now sleeps through the night, alone in her room. It is so surprising to me because normally she would wake up at around 2 am or 3 am and then move to our room. However, lately I am already awake and she was still sleeping in her room. She wakes up around 8 am in the morning. I am happy she finally sleeps through the night. I can sleep better now without having to worry about her.

However, I still help her go to sleep as she cannot fall to sleep on her own yet. I still have to lie beside her, rub her back and tummy before she finally sleeps. When she’s asleep. I leave her alone in her room. We currently do not have a sleeping routine. It simply does not work for us. But this is something I wanted to try again. I tried to put Rianna early to bed, but when there is some noise outside her room it’s quite distracting. We have one level house and Rianna just simply come in and out from the room to the living room.

It has been months now that she did not drink or ask milk in the middle of the night. Honestly speaking, transitioning here is not really a problem at all. Just like I stopped using baby bottles, pacifiers and sippy cups. Rianna seems does not bother at all. She now uses normal glass when drinking water and milk. She also feeds herself every mealtime and always eat with us. I guess I am just so lucky about it. The only problem I had with her that bothers me so much was the sleeping routine. But now that she sleeps fine at night, I guess everything is just perfect. One thing though, she should sleep earlier than normal. I know that will change too and she will sleep early soon after.

Anyway, Rianna is now twenty-eight months old. Time flies!
