A Day In Helsinki / Esplanade Park

Esplanade Park is one of the famous tourist attraction in Helsinki. This is the main park where you can just walk, sit or relax especially during summer. Last weekend in May we went there with the family. Well, we didn’t stay long as we only dropped by for ice cream after having our lunch. It was a very warm day, so an ice cream was really an ideal before we headed to our main destination, the World Village Festival. It was quite crowded at that time because it was also “Cleaning Day” in Finland, which means you can sell things like clothes, shoes, etc that you do not need anymore. So, there was a lot of people selling their things at the park. I even scored myself a dress and shorts. Yes! here in Finland, it’s no shame to buy any second hand which for me is good. Because let’s face it things here are really expensive. So better be practical.

We had ice cream, sit for a while, took photos of the cherry blossom trees and then went to Kaisaniemi Park which later we got lost and then took a taxi and decided to just wait for my friend to make sure we don’t get lost anymore. Hahaha, the Finnish guide made us lost lol!
