Happy Easter everyone!

I hope you are enjoying your easter holiday. I have four days school break and currently loving my free time at home with the family. Just trying to rest, relax and enjoy my free time. Weather here is still not good. Cloudy and still very cold. I remember this time last year was already warm. This year is quite different. Hopefully, spring will come soon. It would be nice to experience warm weather again. Well, a little more patience.

Last year I did a few things to celebrate the easter. Rianna had easter egg hunting, and then we had easter egg decorating, as well as a little photoshot. This year is different though. I was busy, so I didn’t plan anything to do. However, hubby and I decided at last minute to transform Rianna into one of a Finnish Easter Witches. One of the easter tradition in Finland is the easter witches where little children wear a witch costumes carrying a basket and a twigs and then knock at neighbor’s doors. Do some witch’s tricks in exchange of a candies and chocolates.

Rianna looks so funny in her outfit. At first, she doesn’t want me to put her blush on. But agreed later when I showed her the basket. I supposed to put little spots on her nose but I don’t have the proper make up for it. So, I just didn’t put any aside from the super red chicks.

Rianna loved it. She was so excited and even smiled all the time. We were walking on the street while I was trying to take as much photos as I can. I really wanted to document this moment. This is the first time she participated this kind of activity and I am so proud of her.

And then, we went to the nearest neighbor. Rianna was so excited to ring the doorbell. The house owner came out and Rianna said “moi” (hello). She said “wow” when they put candies on her basket. It was lovely. Nice to see her appreciate things like that. And then, she said “Kiitos!” (thank you). And then said goodbye as we left.

We only visited one house because it was cold and already late. We don’t want to ruin her mood, and besides she doesn’t wear warm enough to stay outside long. I was happy to witness this moment. My baby girl is not so baby anymore. She can now do things an older children can do. Hopefully, we can do Finnish easter witches again next time.
